The Annals of Clinical Microbiology (ACM) is the official journal published quarterly by the Korean Society of Clinical Microbiology.
It aims to contribute to the advancement of medicine and the improvement of human health by disseminating research findings in clinical microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, antimicrobial agents and resistance, and the related epidemiology and immunology of infectious diseases.
The scope of the journal includes significant studies that explore laboratory tests and innovative technologies for infectious disease diagnosis and monitoring, as well as infection prevention and control. It also covers antimicrobial susceptibility testing through both phenotypic and genotypic/genomic approaches, novel or significantly improved test methods with substantial potential for clinical application, and diagnostic stewardship. Additionally, the journal addresses the impact of these interventions on laboratory resource utilization and patient outcomes. It also examines the epidemiology of infectious diseases, including pathogen typing and microbiological surveillance with clinical correlation. Furthermore, it embraces research from a One Health perspective, highlighting the interconnection of human, animal, and environment.
Its regional scope is Korea; however, it welcomes submissions from researcher all over the world.
